Volt is immediately hiring for an Engineer Product I - Product Verification & Validation in Urbandale, IA
You will be the eyes and ears for our teams working on solutions while bringing the customer closer to the teams doing the work.
Doing in person visits, regular phone/video calls, text messages, surveys, etc.
Working on connecting and integrating a new group of customers who grow crops in beds, on vines, or in trees. We will use our existing technology that we have today (both hardware and software) to add incremental value for these customers.
Working directly with customers who produce high value crops.
You will spend time on detailed documentation of what's working, and what's not for each customer as we develop new solutions - you will enable these solutions for customers to gain quick feedback.
You will work with multiple different teams and Product managers who are crafting solutions to problems, engineers who are writing code, user experience who are designing new interactions, field testing teams who are trying new hardware.
Travel will be required multiple times per month, for multiple days at a time, to meet with customers onsite - mostly in the western part of the United States. There could be some international travel at some point.
You will be involved with multiple customers and pulling them all together into a single HVC reference customer list.
Skills:
Comfortable installing hardware and software on equipment to enable field testing.
Familiarity with systems on the web/mobile side of the Operations Center, along with on machine technology including Gen4/G5, MTG's, Starfire.
Organized, focused on building relationships, driven by solving problems, ability to break complex problems into smaller chunks, regular/transparent communication.

Pay rate: $40/hr. to $44/hr.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
