The Boeing Company seeks an Experienced Containerization Software Engineer to join our Argon ST team in Fairfax, VA. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) business organization.
Boeing BDS Argon ST designs and develops Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) products for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and allied customers. The products intercept Radio Frequency (RF) signals, apply signal processing algorithms, and distribute the processed results. As a member of the Software Engineering DevSecOps group, you will leverage industry-leading tools, techniques, and processes to help software development teams, integration and test engineers, IT personnel, program management, and customer representatives to increase first-time quality, team velocity, and customer satisfaction on a wide range of projects.
Position Responsibilities:
Display mastery of industry best practices in classified and unclassified server builds, containerization, software build, software artifact management, version control strategies, virtualization, application deployment, configuration, and integration.
Identify, investigate, deploy, integrate, maintain, upgrade and support tools used in our development and deployment processes.
Perform automation and auditing of software builds and unit, functional, and acceptance tests.
Automate server builds and deployments across multiple networks.
Efficiently execute a wide range of day-to-day operations including user / permissions management, code delivery, team consults, server and database administration.
Be able to independently analyze complex workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and leverage industry standard tools and technologies to drive cost, schedule and risk reduction.
Effectively collaborate with stakeholders including IT, cybersecurity, program management, and engineering organizations to meet requirements in a fast-paced environment.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
At least 2 years of experience with Bash Shell scripting
At least 2 years of experience with Artifact management server administration - Artifactory preferred
Version control system administration: git preferred. SVN, CVS a plus
Bug tracking tool administration: JIRA preferred
Cloud server management: AWS preferred
Database management system: mySQL/pSQL
Shell editors: vi/vim, emacs, etc.
IDEs: IntelliJ/VSCode/Eclipse preferred
Security+ Certification
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
