The Center for Disabilities & Development is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Coordinator. This position will provide behavioral assessment/treatment in an outpatient setting for children and adults with developmental disabilities who exhibit challenging behavior.
Assist Psychologist or Senior Behavioral Health Consultant regarding intake of patient information and provide input/suggestions for behavioral assessment and treatment session.
Assist clinic staff to ensure all clinic members follow hospital protocols including safety of staff and patients, appropriate use of cleaning materials, protect confidentiality of patients (HIPPA regulations), appropriate safety equipment (protective clothing).
Collects and graphs data
Prepares for patient appointments by gathering data from family/caregivers, outside agencies (e.g., school, group homes) and reviewing of medical charts and patient assessment data from outside the clinic.
Assists answering patient questions and concerns and developing modifications for treatment plans.
Serves as tertiary contact for patients and family/caregivers following discharge.
May assist in orientation and training practicum students, interns, graduate assistants, and volunteers.
Seek approval for all purchases by the Day Treatment Clinical Associate Professor.
Manage patient information by assisting in writing daily progress notes and creating/updating patient graphs
Assists in preparing clinic space and therapy room (turn on computers, prepare patient related play/work materials, ensure clean spaces, etc.).
Assist in sanitizing clinic space at the end of appointment to ensure safe, clean, and organized environment.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
6 months - 1 year experience that includes experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or challenging behaviors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience or capacity to demonstrate positive interpersonal skills, provide a high level of customer service, and work as a cooperative team member.
Competence in and experience using Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word and Outlook
Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines
Desired Qualifications:
Experience conducting behavioral assessments with individuals with challenging behaviors
Experience implementing behavioral treatment plans with individuals with challenging behaviors
Board Certification in Behavior Analysis
Some knowledge of UI policies and procedures
Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
Experience managing day-to-day program operations, such as staff and patient scheduling, collecting and managing data, and serving as a program liaison.
