General Summary of Position:


The Department of Chemistry at the University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for Adjunct Professors (standard teaching load 1-2 courses per semester). The successful candidates will be expected to begin work in September 2024 and assist in teaching a range of classes including Organic Chemistry I, Chemistry I, Forensic Science for the Non-Scientist.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):



  • Applicants must have earned a PhD degree in chemistry, or closely related disciplines



Additional Considerations:



  • College-level teaching experience

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly

  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty and diverse populations
