Veteran Service Coordinator- Southern VT Team

The Supportive Service for Veteran Families (SSVF) is a program that provides assistance to very low-income Veteran families who are experiencing homelessness and/or are at imminent risk of homelessness to gain and retain stable housing.
Facilitate and provide specialized support to Service Coordinators related to eligibility determination, enrollment, temporary financial assistance, reassessments, and exits. Track program data and assist in create quarterly reporting related to specific job tasks.
Bachelor's degree in social work or related field and two years of related experience required. Effective verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills required. Ability with training to use computerized case management applications to enter and track participant information; ability to understand and explain program details and workflow required.
Experiential knowledge as a military veteran and/or with homelessness; training, education, or experience with social services support desirable. Knowledge of the HUD Homeless Management Information System desired.
$49,000 to $60,000/year
Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, Contingent on continued funding, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Travel to and from worksites required, This position is eligible for full-time telework in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
