3M4200 Ed Center for Gifted Education
The Center for Gifted Education is a learning community that values and fosters the talent development process and optimal functioning of high-ability individuals over their life span.
The Instructor will design a high-quality, unit in the assigned subject matter with three defined learning outcomes. The Instructor will provide engaging, rigorous instruction for high-ability learners at the assigned grade level. The Instructor will formally and informally assess learners for learning objectives throughout the course and differentiate instruction, as needed. The Instructor will be available to teach multiple sessions depending on the specific pre-collegiate program. The Instructor will be required to submit a course syllabus to and attend a mandatory Instructors' Orientation.
This position is a temporary (hourly) position not to exceed 6 months. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed on average 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve month period beginning May 1 each year.
This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
