Job Summary


Galapagos is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative individual to join our diverse team as an entry level Recruiter. In this part-time role, you will work closely with the Director of Recruiting and senior recruiters, contributing to the success of multiple business units and organizational clients.

The ideal candidate is passionate about learning the recruiting process, driven to achieve success, and eager to make a positive impact. You will play a crucial role in developing and supporting our recruiting infrastructure from the ground up.

Compensation Minimum: $55,000

Compensation Maximum: $58,700

Job Requirements:



Skills / Experience Required

  • 0-1 year of experience in staffing and recruitment
  • 0-1 year of experience reviewing resumes and assessing candidate qualifications
  • Experience collaborating with senior managers on staffing needs, sourcing and screening candidates, managing interview processes, and promoting the organization's employer brand
  • Willingness to learn and effectively utilize job boards, databases, platforms, networking resources, and other tools to advertise job opportunities
  • Eager to develop skills in sourcing strategies, screening techniques, and qualifying candidates through various channels, including social media, professional networks, associations, and referrals
  • Ability to collect feedback, facilitate debrief discussions, provide insights to recruiting senior management, and assist in hiring decisions post-interview
  • Interest in learning to make competitive hiring salary recommendations based on market trends, competencies, and company standards
  • Assist with extending employment offers and supporting onboarding processes for new hires
  • Contribute to building and maintaining robust candidate pipelines to meet annual hiring goals
  • Provide support for special projects as assigned by senior management
  • Learn and adopt a consultative approach with hiring managers to identify critical capabilities, develop staffing strategies, and execute sourcing plans
  • 0-1 year of industry experience with proficiency in computer skills and applicable software, such as Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data and adapt recruitment strategies to achieve optimal results

Education / Certifications

  • Minimum of a High School education

Security Clearance


Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.


Physical Requirements


Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
