Responsibilities:


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult and give direction to internal and external customers regarding highly complex accounting matters/issues.

  • Ability to function effectively within a team environment and to interface effectively with personnel from other business units.

  • Knowledge of research, analysis methodologies.

  • Review and analyze financial statement variances.

  • Reconcile account reconciliations, documentation and analysis.

  • Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts.

  • Prepare journal entries.

  • Research and respond to P&L questions.

  • Special projects.

  • Proactively improve processes, accuracy, and efficiency.

  • Comply with internal controls to protect the assets of the company.

  • Perform self-review of work to identify problems and solutions.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the performance of advanced accounting methodologies and procedures.

  • Demonstrated understanding of risk metrics.

  • Proven ability to review policies and procedures and determine validity and develop processes to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Ability to develop, document, implement, and enforce processes and procedures.


Qualifications :


  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience.

  • CPA and at least 3 years of corporate or public accounting experience is preferred.

  • Advanced GAAP knowledge, internal controls, advanced research skills, and advanced analysis skills, ideally from a public accountant environment.

  • Knowledge of Oracle GL, AP, and Discover reports highly desired.

  • Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros.

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills required.
