About the Role
The successful Mechanical Engineer will have ideally have previous experience with designing flat pierce or progressive dies or experience of designing machines, gauges, fixtures and tooling.
Responsibilities
Must have a firm grasp on how machined parts are made.
Must have knowledge of various fabrication methods.
Must have good experience with some kind of modeling software.
Must have knowledge of PLC's and simple electrical layouts.

Designing machines, gauges, fixtures, and tooling.
Layout and programming of PLC systems.
Using a CAD system to model & layout designs for various dies, fixtures, and machines.
Supervising tryouts of dies, fixtures, troubleshooting issues with designed mechanisms and machines.
PLC & motion control electrical layouts and programming for custom machines.
Support maintenance with troubleshooting issues with production/CNC equipment.
Assist production with problems concerning tooling or programming during the manufacturing process.
