A leading manufacturing company is looking to appoint an EHS Manager to join their EHS team and help support operations at their manufacturing site in the Vineland, NJ area. Leading a team of 2 direct reports, the Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing safety programs, leading safety compliance, fostering a healthy safety culture, and assisting with all training at the plant level.
The Role:
Drive a culture of safety across the plant to reduce injuries and accidents.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Promote continuous improvement efforts in the safety function, integrate tactical and strategic safety planning.
Support development of safety training materials and programs for all teammates
Coordinate resources and contribute to the 14001 process.
Ensure compliance with local and federal regulatory agencies.
Prepare written Emergency Response Plan and execute necessary procedures.
The Candidate
3+ years' safety experience within manufacturing
PSM experience highly preferred*****
Familiarity with environmental knowledge including hazwaste and wastewater highly preferred***
Ability to effectively lead a team.
Familiar with manufacturing safety programs, such as LOTO, confined space, & respiratory protection
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA compliance and Workers Compensation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
