Job Description:

Protection Application Expert - NAM

The missions of the COE Application expert :

- To promote the technology leadership image of SE IED's Creating, raising and maintaining our profile on the market
- To support all pre sales activities requiring detailed application knowledge or technical credibility.
- Able to assist in commissioning and troubleshooting In North America
- Be the technical knowledge repository for the key IP within the IED business, Identifying and specifying needed product enhancements for the North American markets and applying domain specific knowledge to support project adaptations,
- Presales activities and technical promotional activities

Responsibilities:

To lead the technical image of SE IED's in the market:
- Follow industry trends through customer interviews and conference papers
- Author and deliver technical papers in conferences and other relevant forums
- Participate in national and international working groups and standardization committees
- Be responsible for and be proactive in Social media monitoring and participating in group discussions feeding back to the organization as required
- Be responsible for Application documentation to include application notes, product documentation chapters and technical publications
- Animate and build expert community in relevant field supporting PAE's to grow in their understanding . Mentoring less experienced PAE's in the region
- To devise and prepare technical training in specialist area, training the trainers for wider distribution.
- To host technical webinars both internally and externally
- Contribute to connected Product Customer events

To provide technical support for Pre-sales:- To interact with customer technical decision makers providing customer seminars and supporting Front Office activities
- Provide product demos and Proof of Concept exercises to key customers and partners
- Support and drive product homologations with NAM customers
- Be involved in detailed tender support for strategic projects
- Support the production of Substitution and prescription documents
- Provide application level 4 application support as necessary
- Be involved and responsible to define customer Homologation tests in specific domain

To support the Offer Creation Process -Able to Elaborate complex market requirements into detailed offer requirements
-Guide the validation team to ensure that projects are validated in line with the needs of customers
-Support the launch of new products and features through white papers, trainings and customer promotional visits
-Take leadership of the Application Ideas generation for OTM projects
-Interact with Universities on advancement developments
-Provide internal application training

Specific Expected Characteristics:-Ability to be customer facing and propose solutions
-Interest in discovering new concepts
-Convey technical knowledge in an authoritative and understandable way
-Possess high levels of communication and presentation skills
-5-10 years in an Energy domain (internal or external)
-Engineering Degree (Electrical or related discipline), Master or PhD preferred
