Job Title: Facilities Manager

Salary Range: $68,000-83,000

About the Position

The Facilities Manager oversees facility operations across all three Evergreen Goodwill regions. This role ensures that Facilities Technicians complete requests accurately and promptly, oversees capital projects with the Director of Facilities, and monitors project schedules while conducting site visits to maintain quality standards.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice.


  • Supervise Facilities Technicians, ensuring they receive appropriate training.
  • Implement strategies to reduce waste and minimize vendor expenses.
  • Assist the Facilities Director with capital project planning, including schedule development and bid procurement.
  • Develop, manage, and update project schedules.
  • Define and document project scopes for large initiatives.
  • Oversee tasks related to new store setups and remodels, coordinating with other departments.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Manager for purchase orders related to capital projects.
  • Manage facility maintenance projects, including scoping, pricing, scheduling, and vendor supervision.
  • Establish and document preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain periodic maintenance records, including equipment details, schedules, costs, and renewal dates.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies for maintenance operations.
  • Arrange and oversee vendor services for maintenance and ensure compliance with service expectations.
  • Ensure facility fire systems comply with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assist with budget preparation and implementation for the Facilities Department.
  • Manage the Freshworks work order system, including assigning and closing work orders.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety through training and awareness.
  • Report and address potential hazards or accidents promptly.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the Facilities team.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related objectives as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Goodwill's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Partner with People Relations as needed and appropriate.

Education and Experience:


  • Minimum High School diploma or GED.

    • Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Facilities Management preferred or other education and relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in facilities management, construction or building engineering, including project management responsibilities.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in planning, budgeting, scheduling and construction and ability to read construction drawings.
  • Basic understanding of all building systems - HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, roofing, equipment, etc.
  • Understanding of building structures. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, fire safety systems, and vendor management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Proficiency in work order management systems and maintenance tracking software.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Ability to anticipate needs and develop innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

  • Valid WA State driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance.

Computer/Technology Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) .
  • Ability to learn new technology and software as related to the job.

Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; have developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers) ; standing for long periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing; climbing ladders; able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain) . Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills. Maintain reliable attendance.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to noise levels consistent with a retail environment and common in a mid-decibel level production environment. Some work may be outside. Must have reliable transportation as this position requires regular travel within EGNW's operating regions. Able to work a flexible schedule that may require some nights and weekends.
