HOURLY RATE: $16.00 - 24.00 per hour (based on relevant experience)

Summary: Do you love driving? Would you love to drive people to fun locations? Looking for interested drivers to drive community members varying in age and ability level to destinations like Rockies games, theater shows, water parks, and other locations. Depending on the trip, ticket and meal may be included for the driver. Help us to bring joy to community members!
Work Schedule: This is a part-time, fluctuating hourly position that drives programs to various locations within the state of Colorado. Program hours vary and can occur during the day, evening, and weekend hours.
Essential job functions: The following duties and responsibilities are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive.
-Provides reliable, safe, and consistent transportation service.
-Reports for work by start time and fit to perform job duties.
-Keeps all required licenses and certifications current and in possession while driving.
-Operates a variety of wheelchair lifts, security devices, bike racks, and other safety-related equipment.
-Makes quick and safe decisions based on traffic and unexpected obstacles, and practices defensive driving.
-Handles emergency and occasionally stressful situations appropriately.
-Performs required vehicle inspections and reports any defects appropriately.
-Complies with all traffic regulations and reports delays or accidents.
-Operates City vehicles in a wide variety of traffic, road, and weather conditions.
-Treats all customers respectfully, providing information and answers to any questions.
-Acts as trip host and performs the following duties which may include patron check-in, counts, answering patron questions, communication with patrons and recreation staff, bus cleaning, tour participation, and additional duties.
-Work closely with various coordinators and staff to support a plethora of trips to various locations within the state of Colorado.
-Complies with all city, department, and program policies and procedures.
-Attends recreation staff meetings and required training as scheduled.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is not responsible for the direct supervision of any City employees.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively with children, families, co-workers, supervisors, and the general public. Must be able to effectively give developmentally appropriate, verbal guidance to program participants.
Reasoning Ability: Must possess the ability to solve and implement practical solutions to problems, to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and to foresee and initiate proactive measures to ensure program quality, customer service, and participant safety.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
-Background check & Motor Vehicle Check
-CPR and First Aid Certification required.
-Valid Driver's License.
Physical demands: Required to regularly stand, walk, sit, climb stairs/ladders, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk and hear. Frequently required to reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, push, pull, crawl or withstand extended periods of standing or moving. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to wet and /or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold/heat, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate and dusty conditions exist.
