Primary Job Purpose:
Manages the day-to-day operations of the Brush Assisted Living Homes to ensure the maximum levels of neighbor, family and team safety, wellness and satisfaction. Taking into account Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center’s philosophy, policies and procedures as well as current federal, state and local regulatory standards. To provide direction for the team and residents in the departments that fall within Assisted Care Services (Lifeline Services, Arbor and Dahms-Talton Assisted Living).
Essential Job Functions
Practices the Values, the Mission and Philosophy of Eben Ezer Lutheran Care Center.
Ensures compliance to Eben Ezer’s philosophy, as well as written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the programs including state, local, and federal regulations.
Ensures the provisions of high-quality care to all neighbors, including personal care, activities, nutrition services, medications, attention to psychosocial needs and general oversight.
Maintains a stable, qualified and caring team through an effective performance management program, that includes; recruitment, interviewing and selection of staff, orientation and training, performance evaluation, establishing clear job performance expectations, setting quality standards of practice, providing coaching and taking corrective action through counseling and discipline, employee recognition and retention.
Provides oversight and direction for the Quality Assurance program to include assessments, audits and improvement plans for key finance and operation areas.
Responsible for scheduling team members and convening the monthly department meetings or ensuring department managers are performing this task.
Responsible for budget compliance and oversight within the department.
Oversees the purchasing of supplies and approves purchases made within individual departments.
Assists with admission screening, admission processes, and discharge planning.
Assists neighbors and families with other ideas and concerns, as needed.
Provides accurate documentation.
Responsible for incident and accident reporting and abuse/neglect investigations to meet State, Federal, and Risk Management guidelines.
Involved in neighbor activities, including Resident Council.
Participates in the Directors Team.
Responsible for reports as required by the facility and regulatory agencies.
Must maintain confidentiality of all work-related information per HIPAA regulations.
Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance for programs under his/her direction and ensures that departments are equipped and prepared for surveys.
In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include other responsibilities and duties as assigned on occasion, based upon Eben Ezer needs or requirements.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelors Degree in human services or a health-related field.
Possesses a Colorado Assisted Living Administrator Certification, if not, must be willing to achieve within 30 days and meet minimum requirements to apply.
Management or supervisory experience is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in aging services.
Material and Equipment used:
General office equipment, such as phone, fax, copier, and computer.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
Must be able to sit, stand, and walk 8 hours a day.
Must be able to lift and carry 0-50 pounds by self and 50+pounds with assistance occasionally.
Must be able to push 10-50 pounds.
Position requires working inside the assisted living facilities.
Position requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling.
Position is subject to frequent and varied interruptions.
Working Hours:
General office hours, Monday through Friday, some weekends, nights, and holidays as required by staffing or on call status.
