Description: Our client, a well-established Food Manufacturing company, is currently seeking a highly skilled PlantElectrician to maintain and improve the efficiency of their plant's electrical and electronic systems on their night shift. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong technical background and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Perform preventative maintenance on plant-wide electrical and electronic equipment, including scales, automation systems, and control panels.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems, including 120 to 460 volts AC/DC, servo motors, and VFDs.
Diagnose and resolve PLC-related issues, with PLC programming experience a plus.
System Management:
Develop, maintain, and organize electrical/electronic prints and troubleshooting guidelines.
Manage preventative maintenance programs, ensuring timely completion of work orders.
Conduct preoperational testing and inspections of equipment.
Evaluate equipment condition, prepare reports, and schedule repairs as needed.
Ensure adherence to cleaning procedures to protect electrical/electronic components.
Utilize CMMS system effectively.
Area Management:
Oversee daily maintenance of assigned areas, including scales, plant-wide electronics, electrical systems, and automation.
Improve the appearance of assigned areas through tasks like painting, caulking, and flooring.
Collaboration and Communication:
Attend weekly production and safety meetings.
Directly address production delays caused by electrical/electronic failures.
Collaborate with other departments as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician or Electrician with strong electrical background.
