Job Description:
The Director of Information Technology (IT) will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology infrastructure, systems, and software utilized within the hospital environment. This individual will lead a team of technology professionals to ensure that all technology systems are running efficiently and securely, and that staff are trained in their use.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the hospital's technology infrastructure, systems, and software.
Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to ensure efficient and secure operation of all technology systems.
Provide expertise in the CPSI electronic medical record system, HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, networking, and server virtualization.
Ensure staff are trained in the effective utilization of technology systems.
Stay informed about industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare IT landscape.
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare industry regulations such as HIPAA and HITECH.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in IT leadership, with a demonstrated track record of successful technology implementation and management.
Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system.
Familiarity with HL7 standards and Promoting Interoperability Reporting.
Knowledge of State and Government regulations and reporting.
A solid understanding of healthcare industry regulations and requirements such as HIPPA and HITECH
Experience with the CPSI electronic medical record system, knowledge of HL7 standards, promoting interoperability reporting, PACS standards, RIS, LIS, strong networking skills, and a strong knowledge of server virtualization is preferred
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
