Job Description:

Overview

Provide shoreside support to vessel crewmembers regarding all aspects of their operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial oversight for all activities associated with the Vessel and crew performance of assigned vessels.


• Represent Kirby at industry committee meetings and seminars.


• Participate in incident response and review.


• Attend and assist in internal audits of vessels.


• Review, document, and respond to Sales, Traffic, and customer issues.


• Participate in various meetings and training seminars.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of towing industry.


• Good communication and organizational skills.


• Detail-oriented.


• Ability to operate standard office equipment, personal computer, company vehicle and ERT boat. Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.


• Knowledge and use of computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, OASIS, and Outlook

Education:

High school diploma or GED. Tankerman License and USCG OUTV License or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

Required 2 years: Minimum two years' experience in the towing industry. Pr i or management experience required. Tankerman License and USCG OUTV License or equivalent preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Travel required and On-call on a rotating basis.
