The Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead is the working supervisor for a small team of professional and para-professional staff providing addictive
disease and/or co-occurring (MH & AD) treatment services. Provides clinical supervision to subordinates: reviews care plans, treatment provided, and
staff documentation for conformity to agency and payer requirements. Appropriately interprets, implements, and enforces compliance with agency
policies and procedures and safety regulations.

Provides day-to-day oversight and administrative leadership and support to subordinate staff. Interviews, recommends, hires, trains, and evaluates performance of staff. Schedules for staff coverage.

Duties& Responsibilities:
The Team Lead manages a caseload of consumers in the area of service by:
Arranging appointment schedules at optimal intervals to maximize use of work time. Conducting face-to-face comprehensive assessment to identify problems and service needs. Writing individual service plans that meet required standards for diagnoses, content, justifications for treatment, evidence of consumer input, and treatment time frames. Writing service plans that are clear, concise, complete, grammatically correct, timely, and properly coded. Providing individual, family or group therapeutic counseling and/or educational and skill development sessions as indicated in the service plan. Monitoring consumer progress and compliance with the service plan.

The Team Lead

Supervises day-to-day operations at Court Services
Conducts assessments
Supervises all staff other than Director and Office Manager at Court Services
Acts as a team member of Gwinnett Drug, DUI, and Family Treatment Court
Conducts individual and group counseling
Provides training for new staff/interns
Monitors failed claims and activities and works with staff to correct
Ensures staff notes are in the court case management system
Writes timely progress notes that relate directly to the treatment outcomes described in the service plan. Assembles, analyzes, and interprets new/updated information about the consumer in order to reassess treatment needs.
Identifies unmet needs, reviews available resources, and modifies the treatment plan as indicated.
Requests treatment authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames. Provides and bills only those consumer services that are authorized in the service plan.
Provides crisis intervention services to existing and walk-in consumers as needed.
May serve as case manager to facilitate and ensure communication, linkage, and continuity of care between consumers, physicians, other organizational components, community resources and service providers. Establishes linkages and coordination of services with community agencies.
Develops and maintains cooperative working relationships with community service providers. Informs consumers and families of the availability of community advocacy and support groups.
Assesses consumer's need for emergency admission certification.
Executes the legal forms required to refer the consumer to an emergency receiving facility for evaluation of the need for involuntary commitment to a hospital or crisis intervention facility.

Note: May provide on-call, after-hours services on a rotational schedule.

The Behavioral Health Clinical Team Lead is responsible for the following:
Follows Fair Labor Standards Act and all other legal and agency requirements regarding scheduling, hours worked and granting compensatory time and overtime for non-exempt subordinates. Reviews time records submitted by non-exempt subordinates for accuracy and completeness. Applies consistent standards for approval or denial of leave that comply with agency policies and procedures related to use of leave and suggested minimum balances. Regularly counsels employees whose leave balances or leave use are below standards and/or takes other appropriate disciplinary actions. Ensures that the pay information submitted on each employee is complete and accurate by verifying leave approvals and records of time worked. Promptly notifies the manager and/or the Human Resources office when salaried employees go off the payroll due to resignations or require pay adjustments for leave without pay or other issues. Complies with legal requirements and agency policies regarding timelines and documentation for Family Leave requests and other requests for leave of absence.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of related post-license experience OR Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supervising staff
Strong organizational skills
Experience working with criminal justice/courts
Fully licensed as an LPC, LCSW or LMFT


Requirements/Competencies:

Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
Requires long periods of sitting/standing.
Must have valid Georgia driver's license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
