Position Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of sitewide equipment and machinery. This includes diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, calibrating machines, and implementing and sustain a preventative maintenance plan to reduce unplanned downtime. The role involves coordinating with external vendors for machine repairs and maintenance while maintaining effective communication with site leadership. The technician will assist with the installation of new equipment and actively work to identify and resolve root causes of equipment failures. Additionally, the position requires maintaining spare parts inventory, tracking machines KPI's to improve performance, and managing maintenance costs.

Industrial Maintenance Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair sitewide equipment and machinery
• Machine Calibration
• Implement and sustain a preventative maintenance plan
• Coordinate with outside vendors for machine maintenance and repairs and report out to Site Leaders
• Assist with installations of new equipment
• Eliminate unplanned down time by assessing root cause and establishing countermeasures
• Maintain spare parts inventory levels to support high machine uptime
• Track machine KPI’s, such as unplanned downtime, to help improve long term performance
• Diagnose complex mechanical issues on production equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and power transmission systems, and perform necessary repairs
• Monitor and manage mechanical maintenance costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and optimizing parts inventory
• Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and address mechanical issues that impact product quality
• Performing time studies to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in production lines

Industrial Maintenance Qualifications/ Requirements:

• 3-5 years’ experience repairing heavy machinery and facility equipment
• Technical degree or certificate in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Automation, or related course of study a plus but not required.
• Experience trouble shooting hydraulic, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems
• Demonstrated leadership qualities, professionalism, accountability, communication, and positive attitude.
• The ability to read blueprints and execute shop math and electrical schematics
• Strong work ethic and high attention to detail
• Strong computer skills
• Self-starter with great time management
