Position Summary:

This post-doctoral position will lead studies focused on signaling pathways involved in tumor-mediated dendritic cell tolerization and the induction of dendritic cell dysfunction in the tumor microenvironment. This will involve the use of various molecular cloning techniques to genetically manipulate dendritic cells and the execution of various immunologic methods to examine the impact of this manipulation on the anti-tumor immune response. This work will involve lentiviral engineering, flow cytometry, basic sterile tissue culture techniques, immune cell isolation and purification, qrt-PCR, Western blot, ELISA, as well as the use of single-cell RNAseq transcriptional analysis. Finally, this position will also involve murine tumor studies that include tumor inoculation, monitoring, and performing correlative analysis of the anti-tumor immune response. This individual may occasionally be asked to mentor graduate students and undergraduates as well.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

PhD in the Biomedical Sciences.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

* Extensive experience with molecular cloning and lentiviral engineering
* Extensive experience with immune cell isolation and purification using both FACS and magnetic bead technologies.
* Extensive experience with multi-parameter flow cytometry
* Extensive experience with qrt-PCR, PCR, Western blot, and ELISA
* Extensive experience with animal handling and in vivo tumor studies

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

* Preferred experience performing and analyzing single-cell RNAseq
