THE POSITION
Job Title: Quality Manager
Position Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Department: Quality
Supervision Received: Director of Quality Assurance
Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Quality Manager will monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, producing data, and reporting on performance, the Quality Manager will also coordinate the activities required to meet quality standards as well as train and assist internal stakeholders in audit procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain department staffing to support required activities in support of the Rogers facility.
Support third-party, customer and internal audits in person or through trained delegates.
Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS) processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, industry, customer and company requirements.
Set up and maintain controls for quality documents: policy, procedures, specifications, work instructions, record forms, etc.
Develop/maintain the quality portion of onboarding training for new employees.
Plan and support investigation, correction, and corrective action as warranted for production and product problems that arise during plant operation.
Manage supplier performance tracking and follow-up.
Manage incoming quality inspection.
Manage quarantine and material review processes.
Drive corrective actions as needed for supplier quality escapes.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in quality or engineering, or a related field and five (5) years experience in quality as an engineer, two (2) years in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
o Certification as a quality manager, quality engineer or lead auditor is considered an asset.
o Experience or training in lean/Six Sigma or other improvement methods is considered an asset.
o Ability to work in MS Office/Teams environment.
o Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and effectively with all departments, customers and suppliers.
o Knowledge of quality assurance systems, standards, and practices.
o Knowledge of ISO standards.
o Ability to lead and motivate a team and to positively influence others.
o Experience managing root cause corrective action activities.
o Planning and project management skills.
o Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
o Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
o Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $105,000 Annually
