Position Summary
Under close supervision analyzes and evaluates low to medium complexity fraud claims and related data. Also creates reports and assists in the review and analysis of suspicious claims.
The successful candidate will work from the Home Office, Erie PA
The Hiring Manager will also consider candidates for Senior Intelligence Analyst. Level of position offered will be based upon the depth and breadth of selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Studies fraud claims information and related data using software and automated tools. Identifies trends and patterns of suspected fraudulent activity.
Assists the section supervisor or Senior Intelligence Analyst in the review and analysis of suspicious claims activity identified by referrals, field investigations, automated systems and other sources.
Supports field investigators in the collection of data for use in large or complex cases. Gathers data to support industry, regulatory or law enforcement referrals.
Assists with preparing reports and presentations related to ERIE's automated fraud detection program.
Participates in the review of new investigative tools and techniques for possible use within the department.
Develops and applies a working knowledge of fraud trends, company policies and automated systems.

Minimum Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, automated systems or a related field, and two years of previous experience in information intelligence, fraud investigation, insurance operations, public records research or claims investigation, or equivalent, required, or:
Associate's degree in criminal justice, automated systems or a related field, and four years of previous experience in information intelligence, fraud investigation, insurance operations, public records research or claims investigation, or equivalent, required, or:
High School Diploma and six years of previous experience in information intelligence, fraud investigation, insurance operations, public records research or claims investigation, or equivalent, required
Additional Experience
In-depth knowledge of ERIE claims handling systems preferred.
Working knowledge of Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and database software required.
Occasional travel, including overnight stays, required.
