Description: Our client is currently seeking a PCA/Instructional Aide for the 2024-2025 school year!



Job Title: PCA/ Instructional Aide (Elementary School)

Location: Langhorne, PA 19047



Hours: 8:50am-3:50pm (30 minute unpaid break)



Type: Contract (W2, Weekly Pay, Benefits Available)



Compensation: Competitive and based on experience



Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in cognitive, motor skills, feeding, self-help, and behavior control as directed by the teacher.


• Maintain the health and safety of physically handicapped students by being aware of their environment and potential hazards.


• Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing, toileting, and changing diapers and clothing.

• Monitor and manage student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.


• Assist specialists with physical development activities.


• Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established procedures.


• Attend training and in-services related to medical interventions and instructional programs.


• Assist students with braces and other orthopedic equipment to lift, position, and reposition them.


• Maintain a variety of records related to student progress.


• Implement positive behavior intervention support policies.


• Collaborate with case workers, general education teachers, and other staff.


• Assist students in social interactions.


• Work cooperatively with others and independently as needed.


• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 
  


• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Must have experience with children, students, general caregiving of any age, or behavioral health.


• First Aid Certificate including CPR (just needs to obtain before start date)


• Own reliable transportation (car)
