We are looking for a Director of Financial Related Services to work in any of our offices across the state of Georgia.
The Director of Financial Related Services (FRS) is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the secondary mortgage market (SMM) and financially related services (Farm Credit Express, Leasing and Crop Insurance functions). This position oversees the leadership and business development, investor relationships, home lending sales and processing team management and employee development, and customer interaction at the strategic level. This position contributes to the overall leadership of the Association through participation on the senior leadership team.
What you will do in this role:
Home Lending Department Strategic Leadership
Provide strategic leadership for the Secondary Mortgage Department and ensure efficient and profitable delivery of lending services to customers.
Partner with the Association's marketing team to ensure home lending sales strategies are aligned and meet the goals and objectives of the Association.
Establish, coordinate, monitor, and achieve sales and fee income for the home lending department that meets the goals and objectives of the Association.
Ensure the protection of the Association's interest in matters of adequate documentation and adherence to FCA regulations along with Association, Bank and vendor policies and procedures, applicable to lending operations as well as exercising of sound credit decisions.
Serve as the primary source of interpretation and clarification of home lending established credit policies, standards, and procedures.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies.
Participate in public relations activities and collaborates with other associations, banks, originators, members/prospects, and the Association staff.
Provide reporting updates as needed to the chief lending officer on sales goals and other metrics for home lending.
Financial Related Services Strategic Leadership
Provide strategic leadership for Financially Related Services Programs provided by the Association.
Work to expand the crop insurance programs in the AgGeorgia footprint utilizing and promoting the patronage program on crop insurance where applicable.
Partner with the Association's marketing team to ensure financially related services strategies are aligned and meet the goals and objectives of the Association.
Establish, coordinate, monitor, and achieve sales and fee income for financially related services programs that meet the goals and objectives of the Association.
Monitor and promote all insurance products offered by the Association including crop insurance as well as life and disability insurance.
Promote leasing through the various vendors associated with AgGeorgia.
Provide reporting updates as needed to the chief lending officer on sales goals and other metrics for financially services programs.
Financial Related Services Team Management and Employee Development
Provide supervision to the mortgage originators, crop insurance agents, FCE agents and leasing agents.
Mentor, coach, counsel, and develop the mortgage originators, crop insurance agents, FCE agents and leasing agents to ensure the delivery of home lending and financially related services to new and existing customers.
Partner with lending managers to cross-sell and support business needs and objectives.
Establish appropriate individual goals, track and monitor performance plans to ensure high engagement and employee performance.
Partner with human resources to ensure recruiting efforts are aligned with hiring practices and affirmative action processes.
Other Duties as Assigned/Personal Employee Development

Participate in continuous learning activities to sustain knowledge of the industry, management practices, and Association policies, procedures and guidelines.
What you will need for this role:
Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
10 years of experience in sales or related field and people management experience.
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of the organization, including the internal staff, the Board of Directors and external contacts.
Broad knowledge of agriculture.
Expert knowledge of and understanding of business and sales management, finance, and economics.
Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serve the best interest of the customer and the Association.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management, staff and board of directors.
Ability to work independently and as a team under minimal supervision.
Availability for some travel across the organization via auto to carry out essential responsibilities of the job.
Advanced decision making and problem-solving skills.
Superior knowledge of computer software applications and a proven self-starter.
Contributes to building and leading a positive team atmosphere.

Knowledge of Farm Credit Association products, services, policies, and procedures.
