Job Highlights:
Perform accurate and detailed site assessments of customers’ facilities in compliance with projects’ scopes of installation of EVSE.
Provide accurate field sketches and accurate field notes; document site assessments in the format required for each program. Provide regular updates to necessary departments.
Design electrical infrastructure and price projects per project specifications. Work closely with Site Engineer to develop project plans and accurate pricing to be sent to subcontractors and utilities as a “bid package” for review and acceptance.
Work closely with third-party Electrical PE to develop stamped plans when required.
Function as Safety Officer (for construction services). Review and advise on company safety policies and compliance. Maintain OSHA logs. Manage subcontractor relationships. Conduct due diligence on potential new subcontractors. Approve new subcontractors and continually evaluate their performance.
Evaluate contract pricing.
Function as a mentor as needed to develop EVSE segment team members.
Support Project Managers with scopes of work requiring Utility designs for new service requests and in general with more complicated infrastructure deployment.
Support sales team/customers with technical/ construction questions as subject matter expert.
Identify and implement efficiencies with construction design and management.
Experience and Qualifications:
BS or Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required
10+ years electrical contracting or construction experience required
5+ years electrical estimating experience preferred
5+ years project management experience preferred
Possess experience with the design and construction of EVSE infrastructure. or similar role.
Possess experience working with utilities on new service work order requests for single and 3 (three) phase service.
Must be able to understand EVSE schematics and facility drawings.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
Must possess the ability to safely climb ladders; follow safety protocols.
Possess experience in the site assessment process.
Ability to read and understand engineering proposals and related documents.
Ability to provide information and supporting data in detailed reports.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; effective communication in a business environment
Report to Voltrek office in Lawrence with a hybrid schedule working some days remotely from home and traveling to job sites as required. Regular travel across Massachusetts and the northeast, up to 25-40%. (day trips).
