About the Team
The Global Real Estate & Workplace team creates and continuously improves Workday's productive and safe office environments while supporting our core values and distinction as a great place to work. With this critical contribution to the company in mind, we partner with other Workday departments such as People & Purpose, Business Technology, and Finance to ensure that we are successful in delivering on this goal. We handle every aspect of workplace operations, space analysis and projects, building facilities and maintenance. We capture employee rapport, keep track of office utilization, recommend expansions and / or new locations and coordinate projects for office build-outs and control operating and capital expenses.About the Role
Workday is looking for a versatile Technical Project Delivery Director/Senior Manager to join our growing team. This full-time position is based out of our Pleasanton location. This position will report to our Global Senior Director of Design, Construction and Sustainability. We are looking for someone experienced, flexible, reliable, outgoing, and professional, with a positive work attitude. The ideal candidate will be the primary point of contact for key parts of the Real Estate and Workplace leadership team to establish and preserve excellent working relationships with regional office stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
Manage technical project inception from the pre-construction processes through financial close-out to maximize the quality of the space constructed for the users and groups while always attempting to implement value-engineering alternatives to lessen the cost of construction for Workday.
Responsible for multiple projects concurrently.
Provide technical direction to inhouse and outsourced construction management teams and/or landlord's contractors when applicable.
Partner with the Workplace and Sustainability team in consulting with internal stakeholders to understand space and technical needs balancing end user needs with cost efficient solutions.
Work closely with Workday's BT and Global Workplace Safety teams to ensure that technology solutions (including audio visual, low voltage cabling, access control system) are captured in design.
Ensure that Workday's space and/or technical standards are implemented throughout the design.
Communicate effectively with Leadership, Real Estate and Workplace Operations and other Workmates to discuss technical requirements planned for the design.
Communicate with the BT team, Security teams, External resources, end users, property management and general contractor, ensuring that all groups have required information.
Manage project schedule to ensure deliverables are on track.
Follow Workday's purchasing policies for all projects.
Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
Effectively manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Maintain knowledge of industry, products, methods, and promotional strategies, as well as trends in workplace design.
About You
Basic Requirements
15+ years of experience in technical/infrastructure Project Management or Construction Management
10+ years of people leadership experience
Other Requirements
Experience managing Enterprise BT infrastructure projects such as Network, Wireless, End point management and Virtual Environments
Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects
Experience with agile project management and process improvement methodologies
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentsfinancial concepts of real estate, capital projects and operations expenses
Financial analysis experience and familiarity with accounting

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
