About the job:
The Transportation Manager is responsible for the transportation program, including transport of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy, and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for hiring, training and supervision of all Drivers and Dispatchers. Oversees vehicle repairs and maintenance. Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.

Two (2) years of administrative/supervisory experience, in a transportation setting.
High school diploma required
Five (5) years of experience in the transportation industry.
Valid Driver's License in state of hire.
A minimum of one-year (1) experience in working with the frail or elderly population
Must have an active and up-to-date certification in CPR
Must be able to clear Background Check and Drug Screen.
Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.

College degree preferred
Essentials:
Supervises the transportation departmental staff. Responsible for departmental hiring, orientation, competency, and training procedures.
Functions as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). Maintains regular attendance at, and participants in Interdisciplinary Team meetings; communicates participant changes, collaborates on plan of care decisions and coordination for twenty-four (24) hour care delivery.
Communicates Interdisciplinary Team decisions, participant changes, plan of care changes, and updated information to transportation staff on a daily basis.
Ensures responsibility for running and maintaining transportation scheduling software program.
Ensures effective daily communications, via radio calls or otherwise, between PACE Center, transportation drivers and dispatch.
Ensures the scheduling, coordination, communication of the driver route assignments of Senior Community Care Program.
