Overview

We are hiring a Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This role will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of the customer requirements, creating a tactical go-to-market plan for business success, defining, and prioritizing product requirements, and collaborating with/leading engineering, marketing, sales, and customer service to develop and deliver new products to market, while ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. This role will focus on products for the government vertical, with solutions incorporating arial imagery, data insights from AI/ML data extraction, and GenAI.


Responsibilities

Product Strategy

  • Research customers' business practices and needs relative to new features and products.
  • Propose new solutions based on customer input, surveys, imaginative interpretation of user needs, market needs analysis and known technological solutions.
  • Create product strategies to address market needs and translate them into a product roadmap.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities to determine possible future directions.
  • Develop value-based pricing and compelling business models for your products.

Product Management

  • Define, drive, and maintain the product roadmap and backlog.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work with development, project management, operations, and other departments to prepare release objectives, milestones, and schedules for all phases of product development and launch.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle, including new products, enhancements, and end-of-life.
  • Design and execute pilots to validate hypotheses about potential products and features.
  • Measure the success of new initiatives and make data-driven decisions to continually improve and/or course correct.

Go to Market

  • Drive product launches by working with product marketing, marketing, sales and customer success on messaging, presentations, videos, white papers, and other deliverables.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
  • Communicate confidently and demonstrate mastery of your product when interacting with executives, peers, director reports, customers, and partners.
  • Take action and drive issues to resolution.
  • Complete projects and tasks on time, on target, and on budget.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years’ experience in Product Management or closely related field
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent experience.
  • Geospatial industry experience
  • Experience in leading projects and working with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel.

Preferred

  • Experience with local/state/federal government geospatial space; preferably with GIS, DOT/public works, or Assessment departments
  • Proven ability to understand market and customer needs, define new products and business models, and build and sell products.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including knowledge of software development processes, data-driven products, system integration, and APIs.
  • Certification or experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Experience with UX/UI and user-centered design.

The compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s work experience, education and licenses, work-related training, key skills, the core duties of the role and its associated responsibilities, additional benefits offered, and the location where the work will be performed. This is a full-time, remote role with a salary range of $99,000 - $129,000, bonus eligible.
