The Core Banking Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating and recommending configurations to the core banking system in order to ensure that business and regulatory requirements are met, while optimizing operational efficiency
Responsibilities:
Analyze the configurations of and data in the core banking system to ensure they meet business requirements and regulatory standards.
Identify areas for improvement within existing banking processes and configurations, proposing solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Serve as a point of contact for user inquiries related to system configurations, providing guidance and troubleshooting assistance.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes to ensure clarity and compliance.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and other operations, to align system configurations with organizational goals.
Address and resolve issues related to system configurations, minimizing downtime and improving overall system reliability
Ensure testing of new configurations, upgrades, or system changes to ensure they function correctly and meet user needs.
Ensure preventive measures are carried out to fully comply with current rules, regulations and internal policies relating to risks pertaining to BSA, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and other AML related issue
To identify, evaluate, monitor and make any recommendation deemed necessary to their respective Risk Management Committee in order to assess, reduce, eliminate or control any current or prospective risks to earnings or capital arising from violations of, or nonconformance with, laws, rules regulations, prescribed practices, internal policies and procedures or ethical standards.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, banking or business administration required Associates in Arts in finance, banking or business administration, and 5 years of relevant experience in this field Banking courses, seminars, and formal credit education from an accredited school desirable
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a similar role
Technical and/or Other Essential Knowledge:
Proficient using IBS Insight Proven ability to make configuration assessments based on business needs Applied knowledge of banking products Ability to understand database management Proficient using the Microsoft Office Product Suite including, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
