Location: Reno, Nevada




Days: Monday - Friday




Hours: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm




Full Time, Benefit Eligible




Company: Sonic Anatomic Pathology (Western Pathology Consultants)



In this role you will:



  • Perform accurate data entry of patient, provider, and test information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).

  • Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions.

  • Assist in the triage of specimens, handle mail and incoming materials (pathology slides, blocks, and reports), handle incoming supply orders, file slides and other materials, fill client supply orders, and other duties.

  • Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements, following laboratory procedure as well as all safety and infection control guidelines.

  • Participate in required safety and quality assurance programs.

  • Function as support staff to other members of the team.

  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control




All you need is:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Highly accurate and efficient typing skills

  • A high attention to detail

  • The ability to self-start and work quickly, and work well under pressure

  • Ability to lift 35 pounds

  • A desire to help your team and the patients we serve

  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
