Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Marion, Inc. is seeking qualified applications for the position of Controller. The job duties and responsibilities of the Controller include but are not limited to: (1) Leadership role in promoting safety as a value, environmental stewardship and profitability, (2) Direct cash and credit management activities, (3) Leadership role in managing Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit, (4) Direct all accounting and tax activities, (5) Direct all controlling and reporting activities, (6) Coordinate contract review throughout the organization to manage risk, (7) Be a key business partner to the commercial, operations, and sales teams and help facilitate continuous improvement across the organization.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Related Field
Preferred Qualifications:
• CPA or MBA
• Prior leadership and supervisory experience
• Experience in steelmaking operations
