Description:
The Judge Group will provide professional services to support Cloud Migration efforts by providing an outsourced Cloud Engineer.
The Cloud Engineer will provide specialized support and management for middleware environments, specially IBM MQ, within AWS cloud infrastructure. This role requires expertise in middleware configurations, cloud environment administration, automation, and maintenance to ensure high availability, security, and operational efficiency.
Middleware Management (IBM MQ) in AWS:
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IBM MQ in a high-availability AWS environment.
- Ensure middleware services meet performance and uptime requirements through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
AWS Cloud Environment Administration:
- Manage AWS resources, optimizing cloud infrastructure costs by implementing best practices for resource allocation, monitoring, and security.
- Maintain compliance with corporate governance standards across AWS services.
System Maintenance and Patch Management:
- Apply fix packs and updates to the IBM MQ environment to ensure system stability and address security vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate and perform traffic moves to balance workloads and manage failovers within the cloud infrastructure.
- Provide support for application changes and middleware configuration adjustments to ensure smooth deployment and integration with IBM MQ.
Automation with Ansible:
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate routine configurations, deployments, and updates in middleware environments.
- Enhance operational efficiency by reducing manual interventions and minimizing errors through automation.
Script Development:
- Create and deploy scripts to support IBM MQ and AWS operations, including log collection, environment setup, and monitoring.
- Drive efficiencies in maintenance and operational tasks through custom scripting solutions.
Security and Compliance Implementation:
- Configure and enforce Security Group rules within AWS, aligning with company-wide security policies.
- Implement and maintain access policies to ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
