JobSummary:

As a keymember of the Project Management team, the Project Engineer is responsible forthe management and coordination of all technical aspects of new powergeneration capital projects. This role ensures that engineering is aligned withcorporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements ofa project's scope.

TheProject Engineer oversees contractor's engineering performance and coordinatesall contractor and owner's engineering interfaces in addition to ensuringprojects are completed according to project construction drawings and inaccordance with project specifications, quality, and performancerequirements. This position is responsible for coordinating efforts ofcross-functional teams and building effective relationships with keyinternal/external stakeholders, including contractors. The ProjectEngineer is required to work directly with the Project Manager and ProjectControls Specialist to ensure process alignment and compliance. Afterconstruction, the project engineer will remain and become the site's dedicatedengineer reporting into the plant management team.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes safe behavior, in accordance withCompany expectations, and adherence to the safety rules on the project.

• Identifies engineered safety controls and hazardremoval during engineering design and coaches safe practices in the field.

• Supports/Leads cross-functional team consistingof internal Subject Matter Experts, Owners Engineers, EPC Contractors andTechnical Consultants from development of EPC contract through Permitting,Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout.

• Ensures documentation of engineering andconstruction quality is adequately captured to support audit and prudencyreview.

• Supports/Leads Owner team in writing officialRecords of Decision to capture prudency of major project decisions. Records ofDecision support construction activities and future operational requirements.

• Acts as Contract Manager for various engineeringand construction contracts outside of the EPC, including Owner's Engineer.

• Performs/Manages the review of engineeringdesign to assure compliance with the contract, permits, codes, and utilitystandards while ensuring design supports the strategic, operational andmaintenance goals of the project.

• Coordinates with the Project Manager infollowing the Project Delivery System and ensuring requirements are met andproducing associated deliverables.

• Participates in contractor/vendor selectionprocess with a specific goal of assessing engineering experience, competencies,and capability.

• Supports/Leads technical open book engineeringprocess with contractors during development of major projects and applies valueengineering concepts to ensure projects are competitive.

• Assists Contractor and Vendors during design andconstruction to resolve technical queries, and interfaces.

• Assures that all firms solicited to provideengineering services are duly licensed in the state of the project.

• Assures Project compliance with NERC andSecurity Standards.

• Ensures all documents generated on the projectare stored in designated repository at closeout, preparing for operations anduse by the plant operations staff.

• Supports/Leads/Follows change management processfor any potential design changes.

• Participates in the equipment inspectionactivities as agreed with the Contractor.

• Supports/Leads Owner review and signoff ofSystem Turnover packages from Construction to Start-up and from EPC to Owner.

• Supports commissioning and ensures performance,reliability and emissions testing are completed per contract

• Where opportunities arise, and when appropriateincludes operational lessons learned into the project build out.

• For future operations, the Plant Engineer will bea champion of causal analysis to lead and assist in causal analysis of plantcomponent failures, environmental, and NERC compliance related items, andoperational events.

• The Engineer will provide Engineering supportfor the plant modification process.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

MinimumBasic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required;

• Ten or more years' applicable and progressive professionalexperience, preferably engineering design, construction, or operation of powersystems required;

• Expert knowledge of engineering fundamentalswithin at least one discipline(civil/mechanical/electrical/controls/chemical/construction)

• Advanced knowledge of the practicalapplication of engineering science and technology to power generation. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipmentto the design of electrical power generating facilities.

• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the toolsinvolved in the construction or repair of power generation facilities andassociated QA/QC protocol.

• Experience with reviewing, executing andmanaging large EPC contracts.

• Knowledge of permits required for constructionand operation of power generation facilities.

• Excellent technical writing and verbalcommunication skills with strong computer skills and proficiency in MicrosoftOffice 360.

• Strong interpersonal skills and leadershipbehaviors.

• Advanced critical thinking skills andcapability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknessesof alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

• Adept in complex problem solving; able toidentify complex problems and review related information to develop andevaluate options and implement solutions.

PreferredQualifications

• Advanced degree inrelated field;

• P.E. License;

• PMP certification.

WorkingConditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment (Private or Semi-Private office) but also requires occasional travelto off-site work locations (possible 50% - 100% travel);

• Field duties require outdoor work in a plantor field atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel;

• Working in plant and/or shop areas aroundproduction machinery with extreme noise levels;

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes.
