JobSummary:

The Sr. E3D Model Manager will beresponsible for developing and maintaining the E3D project catalogs andspecifications as well as assisting the design team in preparing layouts anddesign of complex offshore piping design systems utilizing Company 2D and 3Dmodeling software.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain E3D catalogs;
  • Create and maintain Project E3D specifications;
  • Assist the design team in resolving CAD software issuesand user issues;
  • Ensure that there are no internal & external softwareintegration problems;
  • Conduct software training;
  • Coordinate with project teams on determining andaddressing project priorities;
  • Interact with employees and clients on project and CADrelated issues;
  • Assist in preparing layouts and Engineering drawings forassigned projects from information and/or verbal instructions with little or nosupervision required;
  • Ensure that all drawings adhere to Client, Industry andCompany Standards;
  • Responsible for keeping the Lead Designer and directSupervisors updated on any and all concerns relating to their respectiveassignments and discipline;
  • Other various project responsibilities as required.


Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

  • Requires a High school diploma or equivalent;
  • Requires a minimum of ten (10) years of directly relevantdesign experience relating to the Greenfield Deepwater Upstream Oil & Gasmarket;
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of Company 2D and 3Dsoftware. (PDMS/ E3D, and AutoCAD);
  • Expert knowledge of the Design/Model Module,Paragon/Specon Module, Draft/Draw Module, IsoDraft Module and Global;
  • Must have advanced working knowledge of E3D's Model, Draw,Isodraft, and Spool Modules; including Status Control, Hole Manager, Supports,Data Consistency, Material & Weight Reporting.
  • Requires knowledge and the ability to work with MS OfficeSuite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
  • Ability and availability to work occasional overtime to includeweekends as dictated by project requirements;
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff.


WorkingConditions:

  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but mayrequire occasional travel to off-site work locations.
  • Field duties require outdoor work in a plant or offshoreplatform atmosphere;
  • Interaction with other team members, as well assupervisors and client personnel;
  • Working offshore or in plant and/or shop areas aroundproduction machinery with extreme noise levels;
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by thesafety department for personal protection;
  • May be at more than one job site in a day and must beable to tolerate climate changes;
  • May be required to travel out of town on a periodicbasis.
