JobSummary:

The Sr.Instrumentation Engineering Lead will coordinate with project disciplineleaders and other disciplines to ensure the integrated design deliverables meetproject requirements. This will includereviewing and understanding client provided specifications and all applicablecodes and standards.

JobDuties and Responsibilities:

• Lead project instrument engineering team byproviding guidance on budget, schedule, cost, and technical resolution internaland external to the discipline.

• Interface and reporting to project managementteam on discipline cost, schedule, and deliverables.

• Interface with client management team and clientcontractors for adjacent scopes of work.

• Review and application of Process FlowDiagrams (PFD's);

• Review and development of P&IDinstrumentation;

• Preparation of Control System Philosophy andNarrative documents;

• Preparation of instrument data sheetsutilizing SPI (INtools);

• Preparation and review of equipment, material,and package system specifications;

• Perform instrumentation cable sizingcalculations and selection;

• Sizing of primary elements, control valves andrelief devices;

• Preparation and review of test andcommissioning procedures;

• Work with the instrumentation design team inpreparing and coordinating construction drawings depicting wiring, traylayouts, process connections, and supports;

• Review and checking of design drawings andvendor packages;

• Review of fabrication, construction andinstallation details;

• Utilize SPI(INtools) for preparation ofdesign, bid and construction packages

• Provide engineering specifications and supportto procurement of equipment, skidded packages, control systems and buildings;

• Participate in cost estimate tasks such asdeveloping Material Take Off (MTO);

• Calculations for and sizing of primaryelements, control valves and reliefdevices

• Participate in pre-commissioning, andcommissioning activities;

• Participate in factory acceptance testing ofpackaged equipment and systems;

• International and domestic travel may berequired.

Qualifications(Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineeringrequired;

• P.E. license strongly preferred, with theability to attain P.E. within 12 months required;

• Ten years' experience with the design andimplementation of instrumentation and controls systems for deepwater upstream offshoreoil and gas industry, onshore gas processing, hydrocarbon storage andtransportation, chemical manufacturing or refining;

• Ten years' experience in using and updatingP&ID's in the development of project instrumentation;

• Advanced knowledge in P&ID, ControlPhilosphy and Control Logic development;

• Advanced knowledge in setup, implementation, anduse of Smart Instrumentation databases

• Experience performing basic and advancedcalculations for instrumentation including control valves, relief valves,flowmeters, level instruments, and pressure and temperature instrumentsrequired;

• Must be familiar with control and safety systemssuch as Allen Bradley/Rockwell, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens, or Honeywell;

• Experience applying SPI(INtools) in design andengineering required;

• Experience with preparing instrument indexes,I/O lists, etc. required;

• Experience working in hazard analysis teams(HAZOP, HAZAN, HAZID) preferred;

• Experience in the use and application of IEC61511 for Safety Systems preferred;

• Knowledge and experience with appropriateportions of ANSI/NEMA/NFPA/API/UL/ISA/IEEE/IEC codes and standards;

• Ability to work within project centeredmulti-discipline teams;

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple workscopes;

• Advanced technical writing skills with theability to effectively verbalize technical information;

• Basic Microsoft Office skills with proficiencyin Excel required;

• Requires the ability and availability to workovertime and the ability to travel to offsite (including offshore) locations(may require multi-day trips);

• Ability to interact with staff at all levels.

Experience in an Electrical Engineering role includingelectrical design with regard to power generation, distribution, protection andrelated controls systems is a strong plus.

WorkingConditions:

• Work is primarily conducted in an officeenvironment but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations;

• Field duties require outdoor work in aconstruction site type atmosphere;

• Interaction with other team members, as wellas supervisors and client personnel;

• Working on a construction site or in plantand/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels

• Must be able to wear safety equipment asrequired by the safety department for personal protection;

• May be at more than one job site in a day andmust be able to tolerate climate changes;

• May be required to travel out of town on aperiodic basis.

• Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing orother communication capabilities which permits employee to communicateeffectively;

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time;
