Description: Our client is currently seeking a Transport Engineer in Richardson, TX.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Perform detailed equipment engineering for network augments.
• Develop specifications for install, turn-up, inventory, and configuration of the equipment,
• Obtaining appropriate management approvals, issuing purchase orders,
• Creating applicable diagrams/ drawings, and ensuring
• vendor delivery.
• Develop Bill of Material and place orders for network equipment, rack, and hardware requirements

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Transport Engineering


• Technology experience (1 or more): Ciena, Nortel, Fujitsu, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent SONET and DWDM


• Experience in PON, NGPON2, FiOS and FTTP is a plus


• MS Office and CAD
