What You’ll Be Doing:
Process customer orders efficiently, promoting products through engaging selling techniques.
Execute receiving procedures, following policies for credit, shortages, and damages.
Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and addressing special requests, ensuring a pleasant experience for every customer.
Champion food safety and sanitation protocols, maintaining compliance with health and safety guidelines.
Monitor deli operations, ensuring optimal service levels and adherence to company standards and procedures.
Delegate tasks effectively, prioritizing assignments and fostering teamwork to ensure smooth operations.
Manage inventory levels, proactively ordering products to meet demand and adhere to inventory guidelines.
Handle department paperwork, utilizing tablets for efficient communication and record-keeping.
Conduct departmental inventories, interpreting daily & weekly product movement reports.
Participate in manager meetings, sales meetings, & team huddles to stay aligned with company goals.
Implement corporate merchandising plans to maximize sales and profitability.
Take ownership of department financial goals, including sales, gross profit, payroll, and supply management.
Foster a positive team environment, providing feedback on team performance and participating in disciplinary actions when necessary.
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, ensuring compliance with all department and store policies.
Lead by example, ensuring all team members follow company policies and procedures as outlined in the Teammate Personnel handbook and other manuals.
Embrace additional responsibilities as assigned by store or corporate management, contributing to the success of the deli department and overall store.
