Responsible for training, leading and supervising employees engaged in a variety of Sanitation tasks including the utilization of housekeeping equipment and materials. Under the direction of Sanitation Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Provide training to sanitation employees on equipment operation and waste material handling, while effectively addressing and resolving minor conflicts or production/sanitation challenges in line with established protocols and escalating complex issues to higher management when necessary.
Tends trash room and lines 1-4 by watching for soils and spills, loading raw materials into red nonedible containers, and unloading into totes.
Oversee waste collection and tracking on all production lines to ensure compliance with waste management practices.
Monitor waste levels and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
Supervise and train all shift red coat sanitors on waste identification and segregation processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
Implement waste work stop authority to address any issues or discrepancies in waste management procedures.
Lead the Red Coats to streamline waste handling operations and optimize efficiency.
Performs general housekeeping duties to entire facility and duties as assigned; maintains a clean and safe work area in compliance with existing policy.
Complies with organization policies including, but not limited to, safety, good manufacturing practices, food safety, and employment and work rules.
Performs other duties as assigned such as MSS, Chemical inventory and clean room cleaning.
Responsible for Room 105 to be cleaned and organized.
Responsible for ordering new trailers and moving full ones so the process flow continues.
Support positive change and maintain procedures and accountability to yourself and redcoats.
Delegates as necessary to keep hallways and lines FSQA, USDA audit ready always.
Lead passdown between red coats at shift beginning and end.
Verifying shadow boards are being used properly.
Support Production Changeovers and sanitation cleans.
Qualifications
Prefer High School Diploma/GED
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturing
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written
Reliable
Self-driven
Minimal Supervision
Forklift/Palletjack Certification
