About the Position

We are seeking dedicated Construction Estimators to join our team in supporting large-scale construction projects. In these roles, you will be responsible for developing project estimates, while managing cost escalation and labor rates. These positions offer the opportunity to serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication about project progress and addressing any issues that arise. By providing regular updates to stakeholders and maintaining strong relationships, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of our projects.

This posting is for future long term, full-time, onsite positions located in the Washington, DC metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project and construction estimates, schedules, and costs.
  • Responsible for cost escalation, orders of magnitude, cost of materials, and labor rates.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring clear communication of project progress, issues, and solutions.
  • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders, including senior management and clients, highlighting project status, accomplishments, and potential roadblocks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant construction estimating/cost control experience.
  • Significant experience developing project and construction estimates, schedules, and costs.
  • Experience with cost escalation, orders of magnitude, cost of materials, and labor rates.
  • Experience working with government agencies and their processes.
  • Proficiency with industry standard estimating software, e.g., Bluebeam, Primavera, RSMeans, etc.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years relevant construction estimating/cost control experience.
  • Masters degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Previous experience in transit industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques related to heavy civil projects.

Compensation Details

The salary range listed for this role is $60k-150k annually. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
