Position Summary


We are seeking a highly motivated, self driven and engaging Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing sales organization. The SDR will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by identifying, contacting and qualifying potential new customers who can benefit from Coalfire's products and services.


Ideal candidates should have strong communication skills and a general understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching companies and qualifying leads. This role must showcase Coalfire solutions in a compelling way and is essential in driving the growth of our business and expanding our customer base.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and Generate Leads:
  • Build a pipeline of interested prospects by identifying potential customers through activities such as cold calling, email campaigns, social media outreach, and networking.
  • Research and gather information on potential leads to understand their needs and Coalfire can meet those needs.


  • Qualify Leads:
  • Proactively engage with prospects to understand their challenges, needs, and budget.
  • Assess and qualify leads to ensure they meet Coalfire's target customer profile.
  • Provide prospects with relevant information to help their decision-making process.
  • Schedule initial scoping meetings for the sales team with qualified leads.


  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing Teams:
  • Provide feedback to marketing on the effectiveness of campaigns, events and messaging.
  • Work closely with the sales team to efficiently and effectively transition qualified leads and develop strategies for lead generation.


  • Maintain CRM and Lead Documentation:
  • Accurately enter and maintain up-to-date information on leads and interactions in the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Continuously improve knowledge of Coalfire products/services and competitive landscape

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (4-year college or university) in sales, marketing or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Proven track record and 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service or related role with a history of exceeding lead targets preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM and sales automation tools.
  • Some experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo or similar tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a sales team
  • High level of motivation, drive, and a desire / ability to move up within a sales organization
  • Ability to handle rejection and remain resilient

The salary range listed is a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role based on national salary averages. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certifications and other factors. You may also be eligible to participate in annual incentive, commission, and/or recognition programs.
