Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is looking for an Engineer Supervisor. Find us on the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines Golf Course, with views of the Pacific Ocean. The Engineering Supervisor supervises and performs the duties of the Property Operations/Engineering staff to maintain the physical functionality of facility including guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Assists Director/Manager in training, supervising, scheduling, and evaluating department staff. Ensures staff compliance with all safety/loss prevention standards and regulations.

Classification: Full Time

Shift: AM/PM (may include weekends and holidays)

Hourly Wage Range: $28.00 - $30.00

What will I be doing:

As an Engineer Supervisor, you would be responsible for providing services and support to the Maintenance/Engineering department in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Assisting in day-to-day operations and driving workflow.
• Reviewing quality of work of TM and Contractors.
• Taking lead on water treatment and PM schedule.
• Assisting in scheduling and managing Fire, Life, Safety inspections.
• Knowledge of general safe operating procedures
• Skilled in using electrical testing instruments.
• Basic reading and writing skills in English.
• Ability to life, grasp, and/or carry supplies or equipment weighing up to 75lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 25 feet.
• Ability to perform duties in combined spaces.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping and kneeling.
• Hearing ability to respond to beeper communication.
• Visual ability in order to identify and locate existing problems.
