This technology is set to revolutionize the study of biology at the cellular and tissue level, enabling unprecedented insights in research and diagnostics. As part of our next phase of growth, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Product Manager to lead the management of the Pyxa platform. This is a unique opportunity to join the marketing team early on and play a key role in shaping our product management function, including the strategic development and successful launch of the Pyxa instrument and related products. Position Overview: The Senior Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle of the Pyxa platform, including the Pyxa instrument and related kits and consumables. This includes conducting market research, gathering and analyzing voice of customer (VOC) feedback, defining product requirements, and executing go-to-market strategies. You will work closely with R&D teams to ensure customer needs are incorporated into product development and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support successful product launches. Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Pyxa platform. Define the product roadmap and manage prioritization of features based on customer needs, market trends, and company goals. Market Research & Voice of Customer (VOC): Conduct in-depth market research, customer interviews, and competitive analysis to understand market needs and inform product direction. Continuously gather customer feedback to shape the products evolution. Product Definition & Requirements: Lead the product definition process, working cross-functionally to create detailed product specifications and requirements. Collaborate with R&D to ensure product design aligns with customer expectations. Positioning & Differentiation: Develop product positioning, value propositions, and messaging strategies that effectively communicate the unique capabilities of the Pyxa platform in the context of spatial biology and genomics. Pricing Strategy & Commercialization: Define pricing strategies and work with leadership to develop go-to-market plans. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure effective product launches and ongoing sales support. Sales Enablement & Training: Develop technical sales tools, product collateral, and presentations to equip the sales team with the resources they need for customer engagement. Conduct training sessions to ensure the team is well-versed in product capabilities and value. Customer Presentations & Demonstrations: Lead customer-facing presentations, product demonstrations, and webinars to drive product adoption and increase awareness of the Pyxa platform. Product Launches: Plan and execute successful product launches, coordinating efforts across R&D, sales, marketing, and customer support. Ensure products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations. Collaboration with R&D: Act as the voice of the customer within the product development process, providing critical input into the design and development of new features and enhancements. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a similar technical field (Masters or PhD a plus). Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, preferably within life sciences tools or technologies. Experience in spatial biology, genomics, or multi-omics is highly preferred. Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of molecular biology, genomics, or spatial biology technologies. Experience working with complex instrumentation, such as imaging systems or multi-omics platforms, is a plus. Skills & Expertise: Proven track record of successful product management in a life sciences company. Experience gathering and synthesizing voice of customer (VOC) data to influence product decisions. Strong ability to define product requirements and manage cross-functional teams to deliver on those requirements. Solid understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning, and pricing strategies. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to collaborate effectively with R&D, sales, marketing, and other functions to drive product success. Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Travel: Up to 35% travel for customer visits, conferences, and events.
