Are you ready to take the lead? Our District Manager Trainee (DMT) role is designed to prepare motivated individuals to step into the role of District Manager (DM). This accelerated learning includes hands-on assignments, leadership training, and up to 25% company-paid travel to immerse you in all aspects of operations.
Responsibilities
What You Will Do
As a future District Manager, you’ll oversee Wildlife Operations in your territory, ensuring exceptional service, operational efficiency, and team success.
Your Daily Duties:
Drive continuous improvement in operations, team performance, and profit margins.
Monitor and control expenses with an established approval system to ensure profitability.
Deliver outstanding customer service by resolving issues promptly and effectively.
Recruit, hire, and mentor top talent, fostering professional growth and a high-performing team.
Train and develop employees in areas such as wildlife biology, entomology, policies and procedures, equipment maintenance, and ethical business practices.
Oversee field staff operations, ensuring effective route management, operational efficiency, and compliance with company standards.
Ensure adherence to all company policies, state and federal laws applicable to all facets of our industry to include but not limited to: Dept. of Agriculture, Dept. of Natural Resources, OSHA, EPA, division of Wage and Hour, etc.
Ensure all team members maintain proper licensing in required categories and complete their mandated continuing education hours.
Complete all required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.

Qualifications
What do you need to be successful?
High School Diploma required; a four-year degree preferred in fields such as Business & Management, Wildlife Management, Natural Sciences, Forestry, or related disciplines.
Minimum of 2 years of management experience, with a background in sales, military service, or other relevant job experience.
Candidates must reside within, or be willing to relocate to, the central region of their assigned territory.
What does the work environment look like?
We go where the wildlife goes! Candidates must be physically capable of safely performing the following job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to drive to various locations, often covering large territories.
Frequent walking, standing, and moving through diverse types of terrain, including uneven ground, stairs, roofs, and sometimes slippery or muddy areas.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, snow, etc.).
Must have the ability to climb stairs and ladders safely.
Must be able to crouch, kneel, bend, and stretch frequently.
Capability to carry and use equipment necessary for inspections and minor control measures (Traps, ladders, inspection tools, etc).
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Clear verbal communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
