The Senior Program Analyst will provide expert analysis and assessment of emerging cyberspace threats to the Army's networks and systems. This role involves conducting in-depth research, developing effective countermeasures, and collaborating with Army Cybersecurity personnel and other stakeholders to enhance defensive capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and assess emerging cyberspace threats to Army networks and systems, including threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
Provide expert analysis and recommendations to support the development of effective countermeasures and mitigation strategies.
Conduct research on emerging threats using serialized intelligence reports, publicly available information (PAI), open-source intelligence (OSINT), and other relevant sources.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Army's network architecture, including its weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with Army Cybersecurity personnel, intelligence analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and share threat intelligence.
Develop and maintain threat intelligence reports, briefings, and other products to inform Army Cybersecurity and Cyberspace Operations decision-making.
Provide technical expertise and support to Army Cybersecurity teams, including incident response and remediation efforts.
Stay up to date with the latest cyber threats, trends, and technologies, applying this knowledge to Army Cybersecurity and Cyberspace Operations efforts.
Maintain an understanding of the technologies employed in Army Task Critical Assets and their potential vulnerabilities to emerging threats.
Provide Senior-level subject matter expertise in CO, CEMA, IA, MDO, or their elements.
Conduct research, writing, and staffing of issues to support the Army’s Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) mission.
Consult and analyze the development, coordination, and implementation of CEMA strategies and policies.
Identify and assess requirements against specific threats.
Prepare briefings, policy documents, staffing packages, EXORDS, and other correspondence related to DAMO-SOC initiatives.
Coordinate with various Army, Joint, and DoD entities to support modernization and integration efforts.
Conduct research on DoD policies, including National Strategy, DODDs, DODIs, and Army Regulations, ensuring a centralized repository for team use.
Travel as required to support DAMO-SOC requirements.
Open and secure work locations at the Taylor Building or RSAC (Pentagon) as needed.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Expertise in analyzing and assessing emerging cyberspace threats, including familiarity with threat actor TTPs.
Deep understanding of Cyberspace Operations (CO), Cyberspace Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA), Information Assurance (IA), and Multi-Domain Operations (MDO).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and advise on complex issues.
Proficiency in researching and interpreting serialized intelligence reports, PAI, OSINT, and other sources.
Knowledge of Army network architecture and its vulnerabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, conforming to Army style guides such as AR 25-50.
Ability to collaborate effectively with Army Cybersecurity personnel, intelligence analysts, and other stakeholders.
Familiarity with DoD Acquisition System processes and DOTMLPF-P integration.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management tools.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications include:
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 15 years of U.S. DoD experience, with at least four years in CO/CEMA at the HQDA or equivalent level.
Experience with military documentation processes, JCIDS requirements analysis, PPBE, and knowledge of key personnel and functions across OSD, Joint Staff, HQDA, CCMDs, TRADOC, and ASCCs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in a relevant field such as Cybersecurity, Intelligence, or National Security.
Experience with Cyber Protection Teams or equivalent operational roles.
Familiarity with modernization, integration, and staffing processes in the Army and Joint environments.
