What You'll Do:

Test and Validation:


  • Set up and configure server, networking, storage hardware/firmware in the lab for management software validation and proof of concept deployments.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to Data Center infrastructure management, ensuring product reliability and performance.
Product and Software Support:

  • Demonstrate a passion for learning and promoting Supermicro's System Management Products, including BMC, SSM, SUM, SCC, and others.
  • Conduct functional and compatibility testing across various operating systems (Linux, Unix, and Windows).
  • Assist with demo preparation, functional validation, and comprehensive product documentation.
Technical Troubleshooting and Automation:

  • Debug hardware/software issues caused by hardware, firmware, or the operating system.
  • Help establish a pre-pilot-run environment to review products before pilot deployments.
  • Assist in automation using basic shell scripting, Python, and Ansible.
License Management and Documentation:

  • Handle software license key management responsibilities within the team, ensuring all licenses are up-to-date and compliant.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Lab Administrator, with strong Linux administration skills and proven troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent automation and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
  • Solid experience with Linux/Unix test environments and a deep understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, including UDP, IPv4-IPv6, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with system performance analysis and debugging tools.
  • Experience setting up lab environments for proof of concept and customer demos, including server, networking, and storage configuration.
  • Ability to work independently under aggressive timelines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Networking certification, such as CCNA.
  • Working knowledge of Ansible and familiarity with Cisco Intersight, Dell OME, or HP OneView.
  • Knowledge of Nvidia GPU, Intel, or AMD processor families.
  • Familiarity with REST API interfaces and Kubernetes/OpenShift/OpenStack.

Salary Range

$109,000 - $118,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
