Location: REMOTE

Salary: $70.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Scientist
This role will be fully remote with a preference for PST or MST candidates.


Must have a deep background in NLP, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Algorithm and Software development.


• Sound knowledge of Python, SQL, PySpark, Machine Learning Libraries, Big Data processing systems in cloud environment is expected.


• A track record of building ML models or delivering impactful customer-facing products.


• Solid understanding the Data Science foundations and internal working of the models


• Prior working knowledge of Search/Recommendation systems is preferred


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• We need Data Scientists with great fundamentals and strong project work experience


• We need candidates that have some experience within the "Search" field, so candidates that have done project work with search optimization. Think about Amazon search algorithms, and have the search engine optimize to pull the right products to ensure a good buying experience for customers.


• Retail background is a huge plus





What You'll Do:



• Apply machine learning ranking algorithms to maximize the relevance of the search system and minimize risks.


• Build, validate, test, and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques to explain or predict behavior and solve a variety of business and engineering problems.


• Identify, collect, and explore the right data used for predictive modeling and algorithm development.


• Perform and lead developments using machine learning techniques in one or more of the key areas like natural language processing, computer vision, information retrieval, entity recognition, product classification, and recommender systems.





What You'll Bring:



• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Operations Research, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics, or related fields.


• 3+ years of work and research experience in the machine learning field with a deep understanding of machine learning and interest in applying it at scale.


• Experience with data cleaning, preparation, and featurization and selection techniques.


• Experience working with GCP


• Experience with PySpark


• Experience working with large datasets to solve problems.


• Experience with deep learning libraries like TensorFlow and/or PyTorch is highly desirable, as well as experience with Spark and/or Hadoop.


• 
  Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala and the ability to write reusable and efficient code to automate machine learning pipeline and data processes. Preferably PYTHON
  


• Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.


• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while working independently and in teams.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
