Job Description:

We're looking for a talented software developer whose efforts will help support our HR, Finance, and Legal departments. Much of this small team's work revolves around building and supporting software solutions to integrate many different software systems together. From large batch data transfers to real-time system integrations through APIs to custom built web UIs to meet user needs, this team provides IT solutions for critical business operations at Blue Cross of Idaho.


An ideal candidate will be someone with solid software development skills to create new solutions for new needs, as well as strong analytical skills to troubleshoot existing processes.


After the initial onsite training period in Meridian Idaho, this position has flexibility to be based in hybrid work location (both onsite Meridian Idaho campus and work-from-home). #LI-Hybrid



Required Education (must meet one of the following):



  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field of study or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)


  • International Degree equivalency


  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader +2 years additional experience


  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field of study + 2 years additional experience





Experience: ideally 1-3/+ years' experience, preferably to include:


  • Programming experience in C#/.Net


  • Experience with Microsoft TSQL


  • Working with APIs for system integrations


  • Familiarity with calling web services, both REST/JSON and SOAP/XML


  • Experience with Workday a plus, especially experience with Workday integrations


  • Strong grasp of logical reasoning to be able to break down complex problems into manageable parts and devise efficient solutions


  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams
