Primary Role: SM. May need to step into a program manager role based on some of our upcoming initiatives based on capacity
Essential Functions:
Deliver projects that meet business requirements on time and within budget.
Create and maintain project plan; identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones tasks; collect and report on progress to plan against individual project tasks as well as against the overall project.
Create a communication plan that includes both internal and external project communication documents, meetings, and reporting requirements.
Work with functional managers to assure complete and appropriate resourcing.
Assign and monitor work of project team members, providing support and direction.
Perform project plan analysis to identify critical path and resource issues.
Manage the project from initiation through delivery and closure.
Create a communication plan that includes both internal and external project communication, meetings, and reporting requirements.
Interface with project stakeholders to manage expectations.
Manage issues and risks from identification to resolution.
Manage project documentation including project documents (i.e. scope, requirements, design) status reports, meeting minutes, risks, issues, decisions, and action items.
Manage the project budget.
Consult with management on an ongoing basis to maintain strategic link to business needs.
Assure compliance with company project management policies and standards.
Knowledge, Skill & Competency Requirements:
Must have experience managing AGILE Scrum Teams
Demonstrated communication and influencing skills.
Knowledge of Project Management methodologies and tools.
Knowledge and understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Knowledge of industry products, functions, marketing and/or service policies and procedures.
Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Project Server
Experience in formal techniques of risk management
Excellent organizational skills.
Experience with Scrum tools (Jira, Polarian, etc)
Experience working closely with business teams
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent relationship management skills
Experience in change management
Financial and Insurance Product Industry Experience is a plus
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required
PMP certification or other formal project management training required.
Must have at least three years project management experience
