We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee the on-site management of commercial construction projects. This role requires a proactive leader who can ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are executed according to plans, specifications, and schedules.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field staff to maintain workflow efficiency.
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to maintain schedules and budgets.
Serve as the primary on-site liaison between project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Review and interpret construction documents, including blueprints and specifications.
Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and other documentation related to the project.
Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols at all times.
Conduct project close-out activities, including punch lists and final inspections.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a superintendent in commercial construction.
Proven track record of successfully managing projects, including retail, office, industrial, or other commercial builds.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and codes.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project).
OSHA certification is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus but not required.
