Manage the engineering drawing libraries for products, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring adherence to retention policies for record creation, storage, and disposal. Oversee work center documentation, parts, and programs.
Core Responsibilities:
Assist with machine controls and PLC programming for manufacturing equipment
Design and integrate sensors and data collection systems for manufacturing equipment
Develop and implement automation upgrades for production processes
Collaborate with the Engineering Manager in designing and overseeing tooling and fixture fabrication to support production
Review production areas annually to identify and eliminate non-value-added activities
Maintain and update the Crosby drawings and machining program database
Provide ongoing engineering support for manufacturing operations
Contribute to tooling/design committee meetings and cross-functional team efforts
Travel to customer sites for troubleshooting and resolving product issues
Coordinate with Crosby Group Engineering to manage product drawing databases
Communicate updates on projects, processes, and products with relevant stakeholders
Assist with safety management, ISO procedure compliance, and quality assurance
Experience & Qualifications:
2-7 years of relevant experience
Strong skills in tooling design, manufacturing systems, and project management
Proficiency in CAM programming, AutoCAD, and CAD tools
Familiarity with engineering drawings, precision measurement tools, and blueprints
Experience with PLC and controls is preferred
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional 50+ hour weeks
Willing to travel when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Forge Die and mold design (CREO)
Expertise in steel forging processes, simulation software (Deform), and reverse engineering using FARO CMM
